This week, our Founder and Chairman Detlef Daues and CEO of V-LINE GROUP Jörg Hönemann had the pleasure of attending the 29th Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Arab-German Business Summit in Berlin. For both of them, the summit was a valuable opportunity to connect in person with partners, decision-makers, and representatives from the Arab world - a region that has always been an essential part of V-LINE’s DNA. This year’s summit was also a very special occasion, marking the 50th anniversary of Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The celebration included a speech by Dr. Thomas Bach, Honorary President of Ghorfa, followed by the ceremonial cake cutting together with Peter Ramsauer, Honorary President of Ghorfa, Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi, Secretary General of Ghorfa, Mr. Olaf Hoffmann, President of Ghorfa, and H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammad Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Ghorfa 1st Vice President. The program was highly varied and inspiring, with speeches and exchanges from distinguished representatives, including Katherina Reiche, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy in Germany. Daues and Hönemann returned from Berlin with many positive impressions and great appreciation for the personal conversations, the spirit of cooperation, and the continued importance of Arab-German business relations.
