The Swiss federal government has approved six new National Centers of Competence in Research (NCCRs), two of which will be led by UZH. 🔹 The NCCR “Children & Cancer” (UZH/University of Lausanne) builds on the strengths of University Medicine Zurich to advance targeted therapies for young patients. 🔹 In muon research, UZH and PSI are expanding the high-end infrastructure they have been developing successfully for years, now opening up new opportunities for research and applications across a wide range of disciplines. Over the next four years, the government will fund the projects Children & Cancer with CHF 16.99 million and Muoniverse with CHF 14.26 million. “The fact that two of the six new NCCRs have been awarded to UZH is a historic achievement that is built on long-term strategic work,” underlines UZH Vice President Elisabeth Stark. 👉 Dive into the details: https://lnkd.in/ekTb86GU #UZH | Université de Lausanne, Jean-Pierre Bourquin, Raffaele Renella, Bjoern Menze | PSI Paul Scherrer Institut, Marc Janoschek, Titus Neupert
