#TeachingAwardShortlist: Every year, a jury consisting of UZH Deputy President Gabriele Siegert and representatives of VSUZH selects the winner of the Teaching Award from a shortlist, which includes the people who achieved the best results in a student survey. 🏅 The 2026 shortlist includes Daniel Moeckli from the UZH Rechtswissenschaftliche Fakultät. We asked him a few questions about his teaching: 👉 To me, good teaching means... 💬 "Clarity and reliability when it comes to goals, structure, the framework, and how we interact with one another. Challenges, surprises, and sometimes even frustration when it comes to the issues at hand." 👉 What kind of learning experiences would you like to provide your students, and why? 💬 "In particular, the experience of having the necessary skills to independently handle even complex or politically charged legal issues in a legally sound manner." 👉 What learning activities and tasks do you use to foster these experiences? 💬 "By discussing current, controversial cases in an atmosphere that is as stimulating and trusting as possible."
