Before crossing the stage at the Physician’s Oath & Hooding Ceremony, Montana WWAMI graduates Verena Lawrence, Jamie Ritter and TRUST Scholar Jesi Kennedy were honored during a Traditional Blanket Ceremony recognizing their completion of the Indian Health Pathway. The ceremony celebrates students’ commitment to improving health care for American Indian and Alaska Native communities and preparing for culturally responsive care. This year’s event included the largest group of Indigenous graduates in the pathway’s history. As they begin their careers as physicians, these graduates carry forward a commitment to health equity, cultural humility and service to communities across Montana and the WWAMI region. https://bit.ly/4alr2fa
