#UWM museum studies graduate students are preparing for the MPM Inside‑Out event on April 17, where they will present researched and preserved artifacts to museum members. The students gained hands‑on experience in object conservation, archival storage, documentation and interpretation—key skills for careers in museums and cultural institutions. This initiative reflects the more than 60‑year collaboration between UWM and Milwaukee Public Museum. This year, students will partner with MPM members to present pieces from UWM’s Mathis Art Gallery, highlighting the value of academic–museum partnerships in professional training.
