Double duty from a UW faculty member is nothing new, and here's a great example. Professor Elizabeth Nance also edits the AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers journal "Bioengineering & Translational Medicine." The May issue recognizes some of the top early-career investigators who are "redefining translational bioengineering by combining interdisciplinary innovation with a clear focus on clinical impact" with advances in materials science, biofabrication, synthetic biology, and mechanobiology, according to Nance.
