Although #UWAllen professor emeritus Richard Ladner started his career as a founding member of the University of Washington theoretical computer science group, he grew to become a leading researcher in accessible technology. Through mentoring and advocacy, he also directly helped hundreds of students with disabilities to gain exposure to computing as a potential career path. At the SIGCSE Technical Symposium, Ladner received the 2026 ACM, Association for Computing Machinery #SIGCSE Award for Outstanding Contribution to Computer Science Education for his impact. #accessibility #AccessibilityMatters #a11y #DisabilityResearch #CSeducation #CSforAll #sigcse2026 https://lnkd.in/gKQbdxbp
