Our Value Creation team brought Anthropic together with a room of founders and operators who are rethinking how their companies run. The theme: What it actually means to build in the AI-first era. After some opening insights, the evening ran on breakout sessions, where participants compared challenges and best practices within their own verticals, before opening up into networking over snacks and drinks. A few threads we're still pulling on: 1️⃣ The same questions show up at every level. AI changes how one person gets through their day, and further out, how an organization is shaped around the work itself. 2️⃣ The technical / non-technical line is fading fast. The people getting the most out of this aren't always the most technical ones. They're the ones who actually try building their own tools and workflows, and learn faster for it. 3️⃣ Output is cheap now, so judgment is the scarce part. Anyone can generate a draft, a snippet, a workflow. Knowing what's actually good (what matches your voice, what's worth building yourself vs. buying, what you'd be embarrassed to put in front of a customer) is the harder and rarer skill. 4️⃣ Building is easy; making it dependable isn't. Almost everyone can spin up their own AI workflow. The work nobody talks about is turning those one-off experiments into something the whole org can actually rely on, instead of a pile of shadow IT. 5️⃣ And a lot is genuinely unresolved. What does "technical" even mean as a hiring bar anymore? How do you catch AI-assisted work that's quietly wrong before it ships? And where's the line between building your own tools and just buying what's out there? We didn't leave with answers, just sharper questions. One simple takeaway: use the terminal more. Seeing #ClaudeCode run there instead of in the chat window was the nudge a few of us needed. Big thanks to Stephan von Perger (Anthropic), Niklas Frost & Oliver Schoppe (UVC Partners), and Saahil Ognawala (Certivity) for framing the night. And thanks to everyone who joined, and Certivity, for hosting us at their Munich office.
