We take great pride in sharing that today three UT Southwestern faculty members were elected to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), one of the highest honors in American science. Congratulations to Elizabeth Chen, Ph.D., Ralph DeBerardinis, M.D., Ph.D., and Joel Elmquist, D.V.M., Ph.D. Their impactful research, which spans molecular biology, cancer metabolism, and neuroscience, reflects the culture of scientific rigor and excellence at UT Southwestern, which now has 27 NAS members – more than all other institutions in Texas and the most in UT Southwestern history.
