Today on Juneteenth, we recognize and honor the end of slavery in the United States and the day federal troops arrived in Galveston to ensure enslaved people were freed. As communities across the country reflect on the significance of this day, UT Southwestern was proud to join the community at the Juneteenth 4K Freedom Walk & Festival.
