UT Medical has achieved Magnet® recognition for the fourth consecutive time from the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®, reinforcing its position among the nation’s top hospitals for nursing excellence. Magnet recognition is the highest national honor for professional nursing practice and is awarded to organizations that demonstrate exceptional patient care, nursing leadership, and innovation. Fewer than 10.5% of hospitals nationwide have earned Magnet recognition, and of these approximately 1.8% currently hold four consecutive designations. With designations in 2011, 2016, 2021, and now 2026, UT Medical remains the only hospital in its region to hold Magnet recognition and is one of only six health care organizations in Tennessee to earn this distinction.
