⚓️📰#USNAVY UPDATE: Navy calls on tech experts and innovators to advise modernization initiatives The hardest national security problems are increasingly technology problems. The Navy Reserve is going after the people who already solve them. The Department of the Navy is launching a new direct-commission pathway into the Navy Innovation Unit (NIU), recruiting senior engineers, software architects and technical leaders to close the gap between commercial speed and Fleet operational needs. The program is built for builders: professionals who have shipped high-impact products at scale, worked early at a startup, or contributed to significant open-source projects. Selected experts commission as officers in the Navy Reserve and continue their civilian careers while applying their skills to high-priority national security challenges.
