Most people will never meet a health physicist – and that’s exactly the point. When radioactive materials are involved, whether at a former nuclear weapons site, a decommissioned reactor, or a legacy industrial facility, the goal of a health physicist is simple: protect workers, safeguard communities and reduce potential radiation risks to levels that are demonstrably safe. At USACE, their work is often behind the scenes but always with consequences that matter deeply to the public. Read how USACE health physicists are making an impact: https://lnkd.in/ecJpqbcC
