Excited to share our new Perspective, published by Springer Nature in Nature Water, on what is needed to design and implement systemic, multifunctional nature-based solutions (NbS) for resilient landscapes: https://rdcu.be/fjY1D. We explore how NbS interventions must move beyond isolated projects and be implemented as adaptive, measurable services across sectors to deliver lasting benefits for biodiversity and human well-being, while underpinning climate adaptation. Moving beyond so-called 'one-off' projects, often reliant on local ‘NbS champions’, will be essential for creating systemic operating spaces that support accountability, long-term resilience, and just, transformative change. So grateful to all my co-authors for being part of this journey! This paper was truly shaped through transdisciplinary collaboration and many thoughtful exchanges along the way: Shane Carnohan, Laura Wendling, Andreas Nicolaidis Lindqvist, Sebastian Höss, Heidi Tuhkanen, PhD, Åsa Gerger Swartling, Karina Barquet, Kaidi Tamm, PhD, Yiheng Du, Luciana Zedda, Isabel Ribeiro, Jonas Olsson, Peter Berg, Håkan Tropp, Mike Jones, Tricia Stadnyk and Berit Arheimer.
