What makes a great city? ✨ Is it well-connected transport, distinctive architecture, vibrant public spaces or the balance between heritage and progress? This year, London has been conferred the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize 2026, with Antwerp, Budapest, Guangzhou, Taipei and Tianjin recognised as Special Mentions. Each city reflects a different approach in addressing complex challenges — through committed leadership, thoughtful planning and innovative approaches to urban rejuvenation. The result? Places that are liveable, vibrant and built for the future. How many of these cities have you visited? Let us know what you love about them in the comments. More of their stories will be shared at the World Cities Summit 2026 in June 2026. Follow Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize for more updates.
