What comes to mind when we talk about sustainability? For many, it starts with protecting the environment. But in a land-scarce city-state like Singapore, sustainability is also about making difficult choices — balancing social, economic and environmental needs to shape a city where people can live, work and play well, both today and in future. We were glad to be invited by National Environment Agency to engage participants of the Youth for Environmental Sustainability (YES) Leaders Programme. We explored how urban planning contributes to a liveable and sustainable Singapore, and why there are often no easy answers when space is limited and needs are many. We hope the session sparked new perspectives and inspired these young leaders to continue questioning, innovating and contributing towards a more sustainable future. #NEAYES #SustainableFuture #YouthLeadership #URASingapore #YouthForEnvironmentalSustainability #NEASingapore #SustainabilitySG
