Effective seed systems start with enhanced collaboration. Yesterday, UPOV welcomed partners from the OECD - OCDE Seed Schemes, ISTA - International Seed Testing Association, and the International Seed Federation to Geneva for a World Seed Partnership (WSP) meeting. The WSP brings together five international organizations covering the full seed value chain — from plant breeding and variety protection to seed testing, certification, and market access. The visit included a meeting with UPOV Secretary-General Daren Tang, followed by a session with the UPOV team focused on capacity building and communications initiatives. WSP's work supports governments, breeders, and farmers for effective seed systems that deliver improved varieties to stakeholders around the world.
