🌴 Over the past decade, the Amazon has attracted $5.8 billion in #climatefinance – far short of the annual $7 billion needed to protect it. With #COP30 underway in Belém, Brazil, this week's thematic focus turns to preserving the planet's forests and biodiversity. As the most biologically diverse country on the planet and home to 60% of the Amazon rainforest, Brazil is uniquely suited for large-scale nature #restoration projects. To unlock #naturefinance for the Amazon, more early-stage capital, region-specific strategies, and enabling policies are needed to manage risks and scale solutions. 💬 "What is the value of not having nature?
