"Technology should serve people, not the other way around. To thrive in this new era, we need a mindset-first approach, not a technology-first one. Innovation starts with mindset – with curiosity, creativity and problem solving, guided by purpose and values,” said our Deputy Chairman and CEO, Wee Ee Cheong. Opening the Wee Cho Yaw Business Forum 2026, themed “Humans at the Center: Navigating Work in the Age of AI”, Mr Wee also underscored the importance of responsible innovation anchored by strong governance, ethical use, transparency and accountability. That perspective set the tone for the Forum, organised by the NUS Global Asia Institute – marking our 18th year as strategic partner – and attended by about 260 leaders and innovators. Echoing this, Wee Luen Chia, Managing Director of Microsoft Singapore, said, “In a world of infinite intelligence, where computation is abundant, analysis is instant, and the information of the world is right at our fingertips – things like care become the most expensive commodity.” He added that “the leaders who understand this, who lead with both intelligence and care, will define the AI era.” The first panel then explored how leaders can equalise skills across the workforce and preserve employee motivation and creative agency while doing so. Building on that, the second panel addressed how AI is redefining workforce composition, accelerating skill shifts and expanding the role of automated decision-making in organisations. Our heartfelt thanks to our distinguished speakers for their insights in shaping a future where technology drives growth that is purposeful, and always with people at the centre. 🔷 Wee Luen Chia, Managing Director, Microsoft Singapore 🔷 Bee Kheng Tay, President, Cisco ASEAN 🔷 Hiang Khoon Tan, Assistant Group CEO (Future Health System), SingHealth and CEO, Singapore General Hospital 🔷 Ke-Wei Huang, Executive Director, Asian Institute of Digital Finance, National University of Singapore 🔷Yew Heng Lim, Group Managing Director, Public Affairs, Grab 🔷 Grace Chng, Editor, News On Tech and Founder and CEO, Verticus Consultants 🔷 Monica Bhatia (Kapur), Head of Large Customers (SEA, HK and Taiwan), LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, LinkedIn 🔷 Noah Lim, Director, NUS Global Asia Institute 🔷 王君豪Heng Koon How, Head of Markets Strategy, UOB 🔷 Alvin Eng, Head of Enterprise AI, Innovation Group, UOB #RightByYou
