Yesterday at UN Headquarters, the Preliminary Report of the Independent International Scientific Panel on AI was launched at a press conference with UN Secretary-General António Guterres and Panel Co-Chairs Yoshua Bengio and Maria Ressa. "The more AI advances without shared rules, the less say governments and people will have in the outcome. So, our message to governments is simple: do not wait." — António Guterres "The opportunities are real, but the dangers are just as real, and they are happening now.
