Impressions from the opening symposium of our Institute of Clinical Genetics and Genomic Medicine on the topic 'Genomic progress with clinical impact' The symposium opened with welcoming remarks and brought together colleagues from human genetics, genomic medicine, paediatric oncology and translational research. The scientific programme highlighted current developments in genomic diagnostics, translational research and the integration of genomic knowledge into clinical care. The breaks and exhibition area provided valuable opportunities for exchange between academic, clinical and industry partners. Beyond the scientific programme, the symposium created space for personal exchange, new connections and a shared perspective on the future of genomic medicine. We sincerely thank all contributors for their time, expertise and support. We look forward to continuing the discussions and collaborations initiated in Würzburg.
