#EarthDay is a global moment to reflect on how we care for our planet and the steps we can take to protect it for future generations 🌍 At the University of Wolverhampton, #sustainability is a priority, with long-term investment helping to reshape our campuses. At Walsall Campus, an ambitious £11 million #decarbonisation programme, supported by £8.6 million through the government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme, is introducing a range of low-carbon technologies. From air-to-water cascade heat pumps and an expanded low-carbon heat network, to rooftop solar photovoltaics and wider energy-efficiency measures, these changes are helping to reduce environmental impact across the site. Once fully operational, the programme is expected to cut carbon emissions by over 1,000 tonnes each year - supporting the University’s journey towards net zero and a more sustainable future.
