New research from Abhinav Gupta, professor of management at the University of Washington Foster School of Business, shows how major societal events can shape workplace relationships. The study found that increased public attention on racial injustice after the murder of George Floyd influenced how Black and white employees interacted at work. For Black participants, attention to the Black Lives Matter movement strengthened racial identification and feelings of solidarity with other Black individuals, while white participants experienced a different psychological response. https://lnkd.in/eBdakSKq
