UT researcher Rosalie Arendt gave this problem a name in Nature: SchrΓΆdinger's carbon. Β Researchers from UT and Harvard managed to produce milliwatt-level UV light on a photonic chip for the first time. That might sound technical, but it opens real doors for quantum technology and atomic clocks. Β And closer to the ground: at UT's Biomechanical Engineering group, researchers are working on exoskeletons that make walking easier and more stable, for people who need that extra support.
