The ambition of Hospitals of the Future is significant: a tenfold increase in healthcare productivity by 2050. Medical technology should help bring care into hospitals, homes and regions in ways that are smarter, faster and more accessible. The University of Twente, its TechMed Centre and top clinical hospitals in the region are working closely with regional healthcare partners, education institutions and a strong MedTech industry. Together, they make Twente well placed to play this role. What started as a regional initiative is now evolving into a national programme.
