𝐓𝐰𝐨 𝐔𝐓 𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐮𝐩. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭? 𝐀 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐞-𝐛𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐬 Paul Stöver (Mechanical Engineering, ’22) and Maarten Smit (Industrial Design Engineering, ’25) founded Revost within TMC’s Entrepreneurial Lab. As frequent cyclists, they recognised a familiar frustration: people struggling with charging cables and heavy chain locks. Their answer is Lock and Load, a smart docking station that automatically secures and charges e-bikes in one go. The system is now being piloted on the University of Twente campus, where employees of Campus & Facility Management are using the e-bikes for trips between different locations across campus.
