𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐬 𝐮𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 Instructure, the supplier of the learning platform Canvas, reported a security incident affecting universities worldwide. As a precautionary measure, the University of Twente temporarily disabled access to Canvas for students and staff. The continuity of education and examinations remains our highest priority. At the same time, we are carefully assessing all relevant technical, legal and security information before deciding on the next steps. The UT is working closely with experts, other Dutch universities and Instructure to determine whether and how Canvas can be safely restored. We realise that this situation continues to affect education and the daily work of students and staff, and we are doing everything we can to provide clarity as quickly as possible.
