Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing education, but many schools and teachers are still determining how to use it effectively and responsibly. Through a UTA Research Enhancement Program (REP) grant, researcher Lauren Weisberg is partnering with local K-12 teachers to develop a research-based microcredential that will help both practicing teachers and future educators integrate AI into classroom instruction in meaningful, responsible ways. By involving teachers directly in the design process, the project aims to ensure the microcredential is grounded in authentic classroom needs and experiences while supporting student learning and ethical AI use.
