This week in Hobart and Launceston, we were proud to celebrate Year 11 students who are part of the Springboard to Higher Education program for 2026. Students, families and supporters gathered to mark a two-year journey that connects young Tasmanians with university life and future study opportunities. For northern recipient Maya, of Newstead College, the financial help, mentoring and engagement offered through Springboard will help her on her path to study nursing and become a midwife. “The Springboard Scholarship made me feel more confident, like I can do whatever I want to do, and I have the support to do it,” she said. A Burnie event will be held in early May. We congratulate all recipients, and can't wait to see their journeys unfold!
