Tasmania’s leadership in applied health literacy research continues to gain attention with an international study tour recently visiting the state. From 70 applicants, 15 multidisciplinary professionals were selected from the National Taiwan Normal University to join the May 2026 study tour. “The study tour was an opportunity to share Tasmania’s research and evidence informed interventions with international colleagues and to learn from one another as we explore how health literacy can support healthier children, families and communities,” Associate Professor Rosie Nash said. The tour included travel across Tasmania to learn more about health literacy, equity and the HealthLit4Kids – HealthLit4Everyone initiative.
