A night at La La Land in concert in Sydney turned into a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for USYD student Sterling Nasa. When a pianist became fell sick during the performance, Academy Award-winning composer and conductor Justin Hurwitz asked the audience a simple question: “Can anyone sight read?” Sterling was convinced to put up his hand.
