Today is the Feast of St. Gianna Beretta Molla, who is a 20th century Italian physician and mother. This stained glass window is located in our chapel dedicated to John Paul II. The bottom part of the stained glass says in Italian, “Se si deve scegliere…,” which means “If you have to choose…” Every day we make so many decisions, but not all decisions are as big as others. Our small decisions help us to prepare for the larger ones that may come, and may be more difficult to bear. If you have to choose today, what will you choose? May we pray and ask for the intercession of St. Gianna, who chose to lay down her life to save her newborn baby.
