Reading University Boat Club – shaping students lives for over 100 years. Rowing students past and present gathered at our stunning Greenlands campus last weekend, to celebrate the University of Reading’s centenary year and the enduring legacy of the Reading University Boat Club. Decades worth of memorabilia and photographs from the club were on display at the event, showcasing our rich rowing history - from the clubs origins as the Women’s Sculling Club in 1894 to recent achievements at the Olympics and world championships. But it was the lasting sense of community that was at the heart of the celebration, with current club members and alum sharing their stories and reflections on their time at Reading.
