A huge congratulations to our very own program director, Leslie Steeves, for receiving the prestigious B. Aubrey Fisher Mentorship Award at this year’s International Communication Association (ICA) conference in Cape Town, South Africa. For nearly 30 years, Dr. Steeves has provided more than 300 University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication students with the unique opportunity to gain transformative professional experience in Ghana through full-time, hands-on media internships. The long-standing success of the Media in Ghana program is a testament to her extraordinary mentorship and unwavering dedication to supporting and empowering the next generation of communication and media scholars and professionals.
