We caught up with PhD graduate, Rahul Deshpande, from the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, who went skydiving from 12,000 feet to celebrate receiving the Fulbright Australia scholarship. "It was an unforgettable way to mark the occasion" 🪂💙 During his PhD at UniMelb, he studied turbulent air flows – the chaotic motions of air that influence everything from aircraft performance to how heat and pollutants move through the atmosphere. His reason for choosing UniMelb? "It hosts one of the world’s leading research groups in experimental aerodynamics and one of the largest wind tunnel facilities of its kind". "The Fulbright Program is an excellent opportunity for researchers who value international collaboration and the exchange of ideas across disciplines. My advice would be to craft a proposal that clearly shows how the experience will broaden your research perspective and connect you with diverse academic communities, while also demonstrating how your work could benefit both the United States and your home country". 🔗 Tap through to apply and learn more about the Fulbright Scholarship before applications close on 1 July → unimelb.me/3kyfQ8v
