Moments like this remind us exactly why we do what we do. We are incredibly proud to share that the University of East London’s Events Team has won the Best Event Series award at The GCN Events Conference and Events Awards 2026 for our Year of Health programme! Over the course of 11 months, our team dedicated themselves to delivering 17 milestone events. Creating spaces for connection, hope, and real change. We brought together nearly 2,000 voices, from students, community members, researchers to policymakers. all united by a single, vital mission: to tackle health inequalities and build a fairer future. From community festivals to groundbreaking research launches, every moment was designed to inspire action and lift up the lives of people across our east London community and beyond.
