Last month, Chancellor Justin Schwartz announced two significant leadership appointments: Janel Forde and Ann Schmiesing.    Janel Forde joins CU Boulder as the new Senior Vice Chancellor for Operations. She arrives from serving as COO in the Denver mayor’s office with a resume covering HR, IT, public safety, health and wellness, compliance and more. Additionally, Janel holds an MBA from Stanford and a BA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.    Ann Schmiesing has been named Senior Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives, making her interim-term role permanent as of May 28.
