Huge congratulations to Dr. Matthew H. on receiving a 2026 Health Research Council Project Grant for his important research into the health impacts of community water fluoridation 🙌🦷 This $1.2M, 3-year project will support one of the largest and most robust studies examining both the benefits and potential risks of community water fluoridation (CWF) in Aotearoa New Zealand.  Importantly, this project centres equity - aiming to improve outcomes for communities who currently experience the greatest burden of preventable oral disease. The findings will help inform future health policy in Aotearoa New Zealand and contribute to global discussions around oral health, fluoride exposure, and child wellbeing. A fantastic and well-deserved achievement for Matt and the wider team. Looking forward to seeing the impact of this important research.
