Big congratulations to UC School of Product Design student Jade Luxton on receiving the Anna Wilson – Design for Tomorrow Award 👏 Jade’s project, Sterineedle, is an innovative holster that sterilises needles between use in the farming sector, helping reduce cross-contamination and improve animal welfare and biosecurity. It’s fantastic to see this idea moving beyond the classroom and being trialled on farms across Aotearoa. The award, which honours the legacy of the late Anna Wilson, a UC Mechanical Engineering grad and passionate advocate for design and emerging talent, supports students to take ideas like this to market. A well-deserved recognition for both the design and the thinking behind it. As part of the award, Jade will also receive funding, mentoring and access to industry networks to help bring Sterineedle to market. #ShapingtheFuture #StudentDesign UC Engineering
