Swifts have returned to nest in Cambridge, settling in Darwin College, University of Cambridge for the very first time ๐Ÿฃ As swift numbers continue to decline, Dr Mike Rands, Master of Darwin College, explains how simple measures like installing swift nest boxes and swift bricks can help protect these remarkable birds. โ€œOne of the things that the University of Cambridge is doing to try to help recover the swift population is to put nest boxes on buildings around the University, to compensate for the fact that natural nest sites have disappeared as a result of new modern buildings,โ€ Dr Rands explains.
