πŸ—“οΈ On June 27, 2026, downtown Bremen will become a gathering place for anyone who wants to experience science up close. From 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the first-ever Science Day will take place. The University of Bremen will be participating as well. πŸ™οΈ Under the motto "Experience. Marvel. Understand," the Senator for the Environment, Climate, and Science, the House of Science, and over 55 academic institutions cordially invite all Bremen residents and visitors to discover the fascinating world of research in the city center. πŸ’‘ The University of Bremen will be represented at Science Day with over 30 program items. At the pagoda city at Domshof, several faculties, the Institute Labour and Economy (iaw), MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences, University of Bremen, and the Central Student Advisory Service, among others, will be showcasing their work. In the Banking Hall of the Forum at Domshof building, visitors can view the β€œMissed Images” exhibition, featuring AI-generated images of female pioneers and scientists. Additionally, talks by researchers will take place at various locations. For example, Dr. Tanja Stratmann from MARUM – Center for Marine Environmental Sciences will present images of deep-sea ecosystems and Dr. Florian Meyer and Sean Hicken from the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity (ZARM) will explain to young people what happens when a fire breaks out in a space station. πŸ”— https://lnkd.in/eCQjcSTg (in German only)
