It’s been ten years since the Truth and Reconciliation Commission released its Calls to Action and historian Crystal Fraser is reflecting on Canada’s progress. “We can’t allow the Canadian project of Truth and Reconciliation to be a little blip in time and then move on to the next project,” says Fraser. Her book, “By Strength We Are Still Here” which details the history of two residential schools in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, won Fraser the 2025 Governor General’s History Award.
