Consulting Team Visits UAF to Align Academic Programs with Labor Market Needs Following the directions of the Chief Minister Punjab, a study consulting team engaged by the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) made a visit to the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad and held meetings with students, admin staff and high officials of the University Administration including Registrar Prof. Dr. Asif Kamran, Deans of the Faculties, and Directors in connection with two studies one on forecasting of future employment trends, skills requirements, and employability outcomes of the university graduates in Punjab and the second was on strategic alignment of academic programs of HEIs with labor market needs in Punjab. The consulting team led by former Deputy Chairman Planning Commission of Pakistan who also remained Vice Chancellor of Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) Dr. Nadeem ul Haq was flanked by Dr Durre Nayab who is endowed with a vast and rich experience of executing research that includes demographic dividend, youth issues, and social capital. She has published extensively in national and international journals and has several books to her credit. During the visit and meeting with students, admin staff and top management through focus group discussions, they gathered perspectives to understand existing practices, identity gaps, and propose strategic recommendations for enhancing graduate employability and academic relevance.
