👨‍🎓📜 Warmest congratulations to recent UCD graduate, Dr Dominik Duleba, who received a highly commended award in the 2026 Kathleen Lonsdale RIA Chemistry Prize for his PhD thesis, From fundamentals to applications: harnessing digital chemistry for nanopore sensor development. Presented by the Royal Irish Academy (RIA) and sponsored by Henkel, the prize recognises outstanding doctoral research in the chemical sciences carried out on the island of Ireland. The overall winner of the 2026 prize was Dr Filippo Pota, PhD of Trinity College Dublin, recognised for research into low-cost alternative materials for hydrogenating biomass-derived organics.
