Research is about more than data—it’s about improving lives! Recently, we celebrated two University College Cork-led Horizon Europe projects that are doing exactly that: 1. Improving Dementia Care: The In-Touch Horizon Europe project, led by Dr. Nicola Cornally, focusses on a palliative care intervention designed to improve the comfort and quality of life for people living with advanced dementia in nursing homes. 2. Supporting Cancer Survivors: The TRANSCEND-XR project, led by Mohamad Saab, uses immersive digital tools to support adolescent and young adult testicular cancer survivors.
