For the past five years, she’s been on the sidelines cheering for her best friend, Patrick, celebrating every goal, every moment, every win. What started as a one-to-one connection program between someone with an intellectual or developmental disability and someone without has grown into a friendship that feels like family. And she’s seen firsthand the impact Special Olympics can have for athletes like Patrick. As a co-presenting sponsor of the Special Olympics USA Games, UnitedHealthcare will bring hundreds of volunteers to the USA Games to help support the Special Olympics’ mission of inclusion.
