Introducing the University of York Mumbai 🇮🇳 Today we're unveiling the very first images of our brand new India campus, set to open to its first cohort of students this September. The University of York Mumbai is based in the Powai Business District of Mumbai, an area that has a strong mix of large corporations, startups and tech companies, and a rich mix of restaurants, cafés and shopping options. With Powai Lake and a number of green spaces nearby, the district has a relaxed environment, with outstanding transport links and access to residential areas. The architect’s designs were revealed at a special event in Mumbai today, attended by Vice-Chancellor Professor Charlie Jeffery and University of York Mumbai Provost Professor Lindsay Oades. The conceptual designs have been developed by Via Design India LLP, a New Delhi-based architecture and interior design practice led by principal partner Ram Joshi. The interiors have been conceived as an open, flexible learning environment that prioritises collaboration, creativity and wellbeing. The designs centre on shared social spaces that can support informal study, group work and quiet individual learning side-by-side. The University of York Mumbai is currently open for applications to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in: - Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security, - Business - Economics - Creative Industries Programmes in emerging fields - AI, cybersecurity and the creative industries - will be delivered with global industry input, boosting job readiness in high-demand sectors and opening career pathways for Indian learners.
