UNE alumna Lieutenant General LTGEN Susan Coyle AM, CSC, DSM has been appointed Australia’s next Chief of Army - the first woman to hold the role in its 125-year history. Her career spans decades of service across tactical, operational and strategic roles, including deployments in Timor-Leste, Afghanistan and the Middle East. “It is an absolute honour to be selected as the 42nd Chief of Army," she says. “As I prepare to assume this next appointment, I do so with humility, a deep appreciation for the experiences I have been afforded, and an unwavering commitment to steward our people well.” Not just a personal achievement, it is a shift in representation at the highest level of Defence. A proud moment for UNE and for Australia. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gPMh_VHC #ProudToBeUNE #UNEAlumni #WomenInLeadership #AustralianArmy
