UNIC – Transdisciplinary Artistic Methods for Post‑Industrial Urban Change EUR student extended deadline Building on the success of the previous edition held in Cork, this course offers UNIC PhD students the opportunity to explore artistic approaches to research hosted by the University of Oulu in May. Whether through writing, theatre, music, visual arts, or digital media, the arts provide unique ways to investigate complex human experiences and social phenomena. Through hands‑on workshops, collaborative projects, and critical discussions, participants will engage with art‑as‑research approaches to urban change, contributing to sustainable and inclusive city revitalisation. Course structure -Preparatory online seminars (May 21–22) -Introducing key concepts, histories, ethics, and case studies. -Five‑day intensive programme in Oulu (May 25–29). -On‑site workshops developing practical artistic research methods in the city. -Small‑group development of an artistic intervention with workshop around the city of Oulu. Funding -EUR students can apply for Erasmus+ funding via the local EUR International Office to cover travel and accommodation. -The University of Oulu does not cover travel or accommodation costs. The programme is built around full attendance in both the virtual and on‑site components. ONLY FOR EUR STUDENTS THE DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED UNTIL THE 10TH OF APRIL.
