In one of the world’s most densely populated places, green is growing back. Bangladesh has hosted some one million Rohingya refugees for the past nine years. What was once bare hills is slowly regreening, as forests are restored and cleaner energy reaches refugee and host communities. But extreme weather is a constant threat, with floods, cyclones, landslides and fires shaping daily life in the camps. This #EarthDay, remember: refugees are rebuilding on the frontlines of the climate crisis. With support, they prepare for disasters and protect what they can.
